A few years back this was a bush and a den of thieves but after so many years of not coming to Kampala, you could think that you are in a different place all together. Centenary Park is opposite Uganda's Electoral Commission with it's access point on Yusuf Lule road just next to Oasis Mall that houses Nakumatt Supermarket.

It is in the heart of the city that you might at times not require any form of transport to get to the park. Right outside the park, taxis are loading and off loading passengers going and coming out of Kampala city clearly making it very accessible.

The park is designed for all ages as kids are fully catered for in terms of bouncing castles, a swimming pool, food and drinks with background music.

Restaurants
The park has a number of restaurants serving both local and continental dishes and notable among them is Effendy's Turkish Restaurant, Kyoto Club and Restaurant, Choma Restaurant among others.

Other Facilities
Centenary Park has ample parking, Thatched Grass Bars, Hair saloon for kids, face painting for the kids. It is a perfect place for the kids but past 6:00pm it's time to take the kids home because what happens after that is not ideal for under 18s.

The bars, the booze, the skimpily dressed and the security swing into action as they dance the night away. It can also be accessed on Wampewo Avenue just before Hotel Africana from town.
